How long do you stay?

With the 'Cheerful' or 'Splendid' package coverage begins with preparations.  I do not limit to a specific amount of time but supply bridal preparations from 1 hour and 30 minutes before leaving for the ceremony.  Where possible groom preparations are also included, this only requires 30 minutes at most.  Coverage continues until the meal call which is generally between 5pm and 6pm.  This gives the average wedding under the 'Cheerful'  and 'Splendid' packages 7 hours.

For the 'Spectacular' package coverage continues into the evening, the first dance is covered along with some dancing afterward, I stay to capture what I like to call the fun and messy stuff, coverage under this package lasts on average 11 hours.
How much time should we allocate to photography?
I recommend allowing an hour or so between end of ceremony and start of the wedding meal.  Before the big day we will discuss time scales and ensure that there is adequate time between the ceremony and the meal for photography and of course for the happy couple to enjoy mingling with guests.

Naturally the family group photos have the possibility to take the most time.  It takes mere minutes to set up and shoot the group but getting them together is the problem.  Through my experience I have arranged the easiest possible solutions for this and the family and group photos rarely take longer than 10-15 minutes.
Do you supply some black and white images?
Yes.  All images are also supplied in black and white.  I love black and white but I also love colour, it is a hard decision and the decision I make may not necessarily be the one you would make so I feel it is best to supply each shot in both.

Do we receive all images in high resolution?
Yes.  Of course there is only so much space on a disc but I supply in a size that would comfortably print up to a3 in size.  I also supply you with a smaller size of each shot containing a watermark for internet and social network use and ask that only this version be shown on the internet, this is the best possible way of discouraging theft of any images.
What’s your style of photography?
I do not like to categorise my style too much, I have many clients who would say it can be documentary, reportage, relaxed but basically my aim is to cover the story of the day from start to finish, supply you with images that show how it went and also supply you with those magazine style bridal shots that every bride dreams of.

When it comes to editing I do have 2 styles, which you prefer is up to you, some clients would ask for both.  I offer a choice of bright, sharp and colourful images which are also supplied black and white or the set entirely finished with a vintage touch, couple with an old style black and white.
How many photos do you provide?
For the normal wedding,  I provide over 500 photographs.  These, as stated above, are provided in both colour and black and white so the disc may contain over 1,000.  I think it is most important to concentrate on the quality rather than the quantity so there may be a wedding with 400 or one with 700, no two are ever the same.
How many photos will fit into a standard album?
Is there such thing as a standard album?  As I work mainly with a storybook style every album is different and it depends hugely on your taste.  If you enjoy the less is more approach we could go for a max of 3-4 per spread (2pages) and the odd spread here and there with just 1.  You may decide to settle with 30 pages are go unlimited and include as much as possible, most albums contain 40-46 pages and 100+ images.
How far will you travel?
I travel across Ireland.  Leinster incurs no travel charge and there are limited charges applied to long distance such as Cork, Kerry and Donegal and their bordering areas.

Destination weddings are of course accepted, please do get in touch so I can provide you with a customised quote.
I want to book, where do we go from here?
In order to be certain you are happy with everything I like to arrange a meeting in my studios which are based in Coolmine, Dublin 15, 5minutes from the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre.  We can discuss all of your plans and requirements, view samples and go over the contract.  If you are happy to go ahead a booking deposit of €300 is required to secure your date. Please get in touch to arrange your meeting.
